CurveAssure co-founders Antony Fulehin and Evan Haas are both graduates of the Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design (CBID) program. During their program, Fulehin and Haas researched unmet clinical spine needs at Johns Hopkins Hosptial. This resulted in the discovery of a core challenge in the way spine patient pathways are planned. They worked with Nicholas Theodore, professor of neurological surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, to bring CurveAssure to life. CurveAssure is an AI-driven musculoskeletal assessment platform that patients can use at home with their smartphone. Their system uses wearable sensor technology, deep learning, and an integrated clinical report to provide comprehensive spinal insights that can improve treatment plans. It monitors functional response to treatment, tracks health over time, engages patients in their care and reduces clinical documentation.
