Deok-Ho Kim, associate professor of biomedical engineering, has been named a recipient of the International Society for Biofabrication Mid-Career Award. Kim’s research spans the disciplinary boundaries between nanotechnology, biomaterials, and mechanobiology with an emphasis on their applications to tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
This award includes a $1,000 honorarium and an ISBF plaque that acknowledges the award. Kim is also invited to attend the Biofabrication 2021 awards ceremony, and give an award talk about his biofabrication and bioprinting research during the annual ISBF meeting on September 29, 2021.
