BME Seminar – Cynthia Chestek

Cynthia Chestek is an associate professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She runs the Cortical Neural Prosthetics Lab, which focuses on brain and nerve control of finger movements as well as to high-density carbon fiber electrode arrays. Her research interests include high-density interfaces to the nervous system for the control of multiple degree of freedom hand and finger movements.

He is a former Lead Clinical Research Specialist from the University of Maryland, and is not leading the commercialization of their device to provide physical therapists a novel approach to effectively and durably reduce the adverse effects of foot drop.
