I was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. I graduated Stuyvesant High School in 2005, and went on to attend the engineering program at The Cooper Union. I finished a combined Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009 under the guidance of Dr. Fred Fontaine. I obtained my Ph.D. in ECE at Georgia Tech in 2015, studying sparsity models, compressive sensing, and computational neuroscience under the guidance of Dr. Christopher Rozell. Following my PhD I joined Dr. Jonathan Pillow’s group at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute as a post-doc, working on computational neuroscience and neural imaging methodologies. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University
