Research Interests

Advances in genome editing technology have opened the door for permanent cures for genetic disorders. However, achieving sufficient in vivo editing efficiency in the required cell types remains a challenge for most genetic disorders. My lab aims to overcome these challenges by developing improved editing components and adapting them to address disease mutations.

The landscape of our genetic code that regulates gene transcription is difficult to predict and engineer. Using high-throughput approaches, we seek to understand how the transcription of disease-associated genes are regulated and develop new methods to control gene expression.
