Rai Winslow named Raj and Neera Singh Professor
Rai Winslow, professor of Biomedical Engineering and director of the Institute for Computational Medicine (ICM), was named the inaugural Raj and Neera Singh Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. As director of ICM, Winslow oversees an initiative that includes faculty, clinicians, researchers and students from Johns Hopkins’ School of Medicine and its Whiting School of Engineering. The institute seeks to develop quantitative approaches to understanding the mechanisms and improving the diagnosis and treatment of human disease.
Raj and Neera Singh, who established the professorship, are principal owners of Telcom Ventures, LLC, a private investment firm specializing in telecommunications and related information technologies. Raj Singh is a member of the boards of trustees of the university and the School of Medicine.
