The Johns Hopkins BME EDGE (formerly BME Transition Generator) has launched
BME EDGE (Extramural Development in Graduate Education) has launched. The new center, established with seed funding from JHU’s Ph.D. Innovation Initiative (PII) and the BME Director’s Fund, will serve two primary functions: (i) to facilitate internships for current BME Ph.D. students; and (ii) to provide additional training opportunities for BME Ph.D. students to address the need for developing professional skills.
BME EDGE has established a team of current BME Ph.D. students, faculty and staff to bring the center to the forefront in the PII mission to support bold, creative, culture-changing ideas for transforming Ph.D. education at Johns Hopkins. Two BME EDGE information sessions have been scheduled and the center will hold elections for additional team members in July.
